I believe a story makes almost anything better, and that everyone has a story. And I like to help those stories live on in the things I build. A bench doesn’t have to just be a bench, it can be special and hold a value that is intangible. A table doesn’t just have to be a table. It can be a gathering place for a family where music is shared, joy abounds, and memories are made. A chair doesn’t have to just be a chair, it can support a memory as well as your body. Maybe it’s an heirloom your grandmother passed down to you, or maybe you’re planning to pass down to a child. Whatever it is, my desire is to retain and retell the stories through my work.
